uninstalled printer, reinstalled HP drivers for laserjets, reinstalled printerĪt this point I'm ready to start looking system issues, viruses, etc. ensured all Mac and MS Office updates were installed Here's what I've done without success so far: I tried redirecting to another lj8150 on the next floor of the building and got the same result. Same model Macs print to this printer without issue. Now when a document is printed from any program it goes into the queue and then gets moved to the "completed jobs" with no errors reported, but no acknowledgment by the printer and no errors produced. Up until this week everything has worked fine.

My user is running a 2.0Ghz iMac and printing to a laserjet 8150 via IP Printing. We're having JP's issue on a Mac here on our campus as well. They have worked perfectly side by side on a USB hub, as well as when one was plugged directly.

I do have a newer HP all-in-one (Photosmart C4150) as well - perhaps there is some conflict - but when laserjet get lost, I have up to this point stumbled upon it at some point. When adding the laserjet in setup utility, at that point the printer browser cannot connect to determine installable options - the first clue. We reset Printing System, added, repaired permissions, changed cables, changed ports, etc. I have talked to HP-yes, I got a Mac tech on the phone (for $39-printer out of warranty). The printer has been recognized/worked perfectly previously - a restart causes it to lose its firm connection. Perhaps this is a new topic as well, but I have a similar problem as JP - the OS recognizes the printer (HP laserjet 1320) but jobs sent to the printer go through "opening connection" then cycling endlessly in "GenericClass-waiting for device" until I stop jobs.
